For young artists with a passion for exploring art, the Plein-Art Academy, founded by renowned artist Diana Stelin, emphasizes connecting with the environment to inspire artistic expression and reduce burnout through creativity.
what students
will learn
*Observation: How to capture light, color, and movement in surrounding settings. Students get introduced on a weekly basis to a new material, be it clay, watercolor, oil pastels, collage or pen and ink.
*History Skills: Our students are exposed to art history stories in the beginning of each class with knowledge tested weekly.
*Plein-Air Techniques: They perfect these materials over time, both getting more comfortable with those and learning to develop their imaginations.
